Well it’s safe to say I was completely wrong with my “Winners and Losers of Extradimensional Crisis” list, placing this cards a firm loser that wouldn’t ever be able to hang with the best. Buzzwole ex is an absolute machine, being able to heal a lot thanks to cards like Erika, and then being able to swap out with no retreat cost thanks to Celesteela‘s Ultra Thrusters, this card has exceptional damage output. This, combined with early game pressure from cards like Kartana and Pheromosa makes this undoubtedly the BDIF (Best Deck in Format) right now!

The old guard haven’t died off yet, though. Magnezone is back, this time partnered with Shiinotic rather than Darkrai to accelerate evolving of the Magnemite to Magneton to start spamming out energy early. Partnered with Lightning Oricorio, a fantastic card, immune to ex pokemon and dealing 50 damage a turn, this is a fantastic deck for fast energy and fast damage.

Speaking of the old guard, this deck is still performing exceptionally well, despite this deck first being seen 2 months ago, it’s still dominating. Now backed up by a new card, Nihilego, as well as Poison Barb, this slow deck now has even more pressure than before, not only does Darkrai’s Nightmare Aura tick you down every turn, but also 20 damage per turn from poison too – all while Giratina is getting set up to last its devastating Chaotic Impact.
