The 4th and final Twisted Masquerade arrives in the Mist.
2025 marks DBD’s 9th year on the market, over the years the cast of characters has grown from a small group of original members to ensemble of licensed horror legends. The Twisted Masquerade has been Dead By Daylight’s celebration festival for the last 4 years, and this year, the realm has been decked out in blue and gold for one last time.
By Invitation Only
Collect invitations during trials to gain new powers, allowing Survivors to place pallets in chokepoints, block windows to stop Killers from vaulting them and sprint silently without leaving scratch marks or trailing blood. For those of you seeking Merciless Victories, the Killers can also gather invitations (The masquerade is open to everyone!). For Killers, these invitations allow you to destroy pallets remotely, hook survivors from long range, and reduce pallet stun duration. These invitations are dotted around the map in the Twisted Masquerade event lobbies so get yourself out into the realm and harness these new powers!
Tryks or Treat
Tryks is you gracious host for the 2025 Twisted Masquerade, and she brought her Bag of Tryx with her, 5 cards will be drawn at the start of a trial, with each one triggering at certain points throughout the match. Each of these cards affects the trial in some way, detailed below:
- You’re Invited – All players instantly receive a charged Invitation.
- No Invite For You! – All players instantly lose an Invitation.
- Peekaboo! – All players have their Aura briefly revealed.
- Move It Or Lose It! – All players gain a 20% movement speed buff for a duration.
- Heal You, Expose You! – All injured Survivors are healed and immediately Exposed.
- Wait, Where…? – Survivors leave no Scratch Marks and the Killer is Undetectable.
- Party Totem! – All Dull Totems are revealed and transform to Anniversary Totems, which remain until the next card.
- Party Chest! – All unopened Chests become Anniversary Chests.
Quests and Cosmetics
A plethora of new cosmetics are available in the style and colour scheme of the Twisted Masquerade. Players can complete quests to earn Gilded Trinkets which can be spent in the event store on these themed outfits. As a bonus reward for completing these quests, players will earn additional cosmetic items for free, just for reaching quest milestones.
This Twisted Masquerade is live right now and will run until the 17th of July – so log on, equip those Coconut Scream Pies and start earning your rewards!
