Springtrap has entered the dark mist.
As the springlocks triggered on William Afton, the entity pulled him into the mist. Still fuelled by bloodlust and anger, Afton roams the Trial Grounds in his signature Golden Bonnie suit.
That’s right, it’s time for a new DBD Chapter, welcome to Chapter 36: Five Nights at Freddy’s. Releasing today, June 17th, the new Dead By Daylight DLC is available right now for just £3.99 ($4.99 in the US!), purchasing this DLC gives you access to a new badge and banner, as well as the main attraction, a new killer known as The Animatronic, described as “a monstrosity of flesh and metal”, known to FNAF fans as Springtrap.
The Animatronic’s ability, Fazbear’s Fright, a reference to the setting of the third Five Nights at Freddy’s game, allows The Animatronic to throw an axe, which, if it hits a survivor, allows the killer to grab and attack the survivor, being struck by the axe also prevents survivors from healing. Also, we have FNAF’s iconic security doors making an appearance, allowing the Animatronic to teleport across the map from one door to another, much like the Demogorgon’s portals, but with a twist, survivors may enter the doors too, but don’t get caught inside the security room by Springtrap, or you’ll be attacked!
The Animatronic, like all characters in Dead By Daylight comes with 3 unique perks:
Help Wanted
Damaging a Generator applies the “Compromised” status. When a Compromised generator is repaired, your Basic Attacks have a shorter cooldown for a duration.
Phantom Fear
When a Survivor in your Terror Radius looks at you, they scream and briefly reveal their Aura. This Perk has a short cooldown.
Haywire
Exit Gates will steadily regress. While regressing, Survivors will see the lights randomly flicker.
New Map
Of course, what would a FNAF DLC be without a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza map, featuring all the rooms you recognise from the camera monitors, complete with Freddy, Chica and Bonnie standing on the stage.
I have to say they did a great job with this map, as a FNAF fan since the release of the first game, I’m so glad this DLC exists and they did these characters justice – Can we get Mr. Hippo DLC next please?
